Crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures are different types of dental prosthetics used to replace missing teeth or to repair damaged teeth.
A crown is a cap that covers the entire visible portion of a tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance.
A bridge is a device that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to the natural teeth or dental implants on either side of the gap.
A full denture is a removable appliance that replaces all the teeth in an arch (upper or lower jaw).
A partial denture is a removable appliance that replaces one or more missing teeth in an arch, but not all of them. It attaches to the remaining natural teeth with clasps or precision attachments.

Consultation
The first step is to consult with a dentist to determine the best type of prosthetic for your needs. They will examine your mouth, take X-rays, and discuss your treatment options with you.

Preparation
If a crown is being placed, the dentist will need to remove any decay and shape the tooth so that the crown can fit over it. If a bridge is being placed, the dentist will need to prepare the teeth on either side of the gap to serve as anchors for the artificial teeth.

Impression
Once the tooth/teeth are prepared, the dentist will take an impression (mold) of the area to be fitted for the prosthetic.

Fabrication
The impression will be sent to a dental lab where the prosthetic will be fabricated, usually taking a couple of weeks.

Fitting
Once the prosthetic is ready, the dentist will fit it in your mouth, making any necessary adjustments for comfort and bite. If a bridge or crown is being fitted, the dentist will cement it in place. If it's a partial or full denture, it will be placed in the mouth and checked for proper fit and function.

Follow-up
After the fitting, the dentist will schedule follow-up appointments to check on the healing and the fitting of the prosthetic.
